Abstract
The commercial use of the electricity began in 1849. Since that time there has been progressive increase in the incidence of fatal and non-fatal accidents due to electricity.

An electrical injury is a unique and thoroughly devastating form of thermal trauma. It consists of varying degrees of cutaneous burn combined with hidden destruction of deep tissue. The extensive surface and deep internal destruction require complex and mutilating operation to salvage a victum of this extraordinary event.

We have experience 15 cases of electrical burn patients from May 1983 to Apr. 1985 and presented here 6 cases. The analysis of our experience with electrical injury serves, to review the nature of the electrical burn injuries, to describe the present principles of clinical care.
